SIPF Presents: Dominic Doutney in Recital – 2024 Professional Gold Medalist
The Seattle International Piano Festival (SIPF) is pleased to present pianist Dominic Doutney, 2024 Professional Division Gold Medalist of the Seattle International Piano Competition, in a special public recital on September 14.
This free concert appearance is part of the SIPF’s 20th anniversary celebrations and offers an extraordinary opportunity to hear one of today’s most compelling young pianists in an intimate setting.
About the Artist
A native of the United Kingdom, Dominic Doutney is quickly emerging as a major voice in the international piano world. In 2024, he captured both the Professional Gold Medal at the Seattle International Piano Competition and first prize at the Washington International Competition in Washington, D.C.
Known for his ability to blend poetic lyricism with commanding technical brilliance, Doutney has appeared at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall in London, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, and the Kennedy Center. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music under the guidance of James Giles, and is a past recipient of the Tagore Gold Medal from the Royal College of Music in London, awarded to him by King Charles III.
